Hey everyone!

I've previously volunteered for an ARES group in Washington state (Snohomish County ACS/ARES) where I was able to learn a lot and loved working with everyone. I use to volunteer in support of marathons and road bike races. After moving to the Conifer area I volunteered for a while with Colorado 4x4 SAR-ES where I took most of my ICS courses as well as medical/survival/recovery training.

I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting involved!

Thanks for the info, Robb and welcome! We are a loosely organized group but always looking for experienced people to keep us going. Once you get used to us :) , perhaps you would want to do a few Nets as NCS. We also will need people to help with management tasks and eventually be part of the leadership team if that interests you. Also, if you are a weather spotter, you can contact our SkyWarn Manager, Matt Foxhoven, KC0IHA, and he will add you to his contact list. If not a spotter, we plan to have spotter training next year in the springtime. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. Thanks, Charlie!

I am not a spotter currently. I missed the training this year being too busy with Colorado 4x4. I am looking forward to taking the courses next springtime though! I grew up over in Nebraska and have always been fascinated with thunderstorms and what makes them tick.

Looking forward to meeting everyone tonight!
