Recently Received my ham license ~June 18 2018
About 10 years ago I was attempting to get my license but the life thing had happened...
I have always been a person who is extremely passionate about helping others. I decided last August / September 2017 during the hurricane season that I wanted to help in a way that was beneficial and with boundaries.
I started out by taking a first aid class, then stop the bleed class. In the mean time I was taking FEMA online courses. (I have completed a lot of them)
in my research of fulfilling my aspiration to help others, I had come across the CO TRAIN SITE. I then began to take many classes from the CO TRAIN site.
I decided to volunteer. One of the groups that I volunteer for requires a ham license. ~~>> Wa La! Here I am KE0SFK
I work full time for Jefferson County am a senior operator in the Conifer area. I have been with Jeff CO for about 14 years. I operate a motor grader. My duties include snow plowing with: motor grader, tandem dump truck or single axle bobtail, Shovel culverts, flagging, pot hole patching, raking and shoveling asphalt to pretty much you name it.
I decided to volunteer for Jefferson County IMT. When I joined Jeff Co IMT I was introduced to Wildland Fire. I now have Wildland Fire Fighting II certification.
I believe in being versatile and multi-skilled. I have learned so much and met so many WONDERFUL and HELPFUL like minded folks.
